Pastors and Wives Retreat

We spent a great 2 days with the Pastors and their wives during their yearly retreat that began 3 years ago. In the past, the focus has been on marriage, while this year we decided to take on the theme of "Legacy." We started off with marriage, went into how their husband/wife relationship affects their children, and ended with some practical ways to disciple their children. It was received in ways we could not imagine. Many of them expressed a desire for us to minister to their children (ages 5 to 21). We've been dreaming of ways we can get together with them and just encourage them. Some of the children love working with their parents at the church while others no longer even attend church. We hope to meet with them on a monthly basis and have some sort of outing all together. Here, the older children do not mind the company of the younger, so we could all go bowling or to dinner together. We are praying right now how we can provide for them. We would love to offer these events at our cost. There are a few names we already know, and we'd love for you to lift them up in prayer with us: Gideon, Ana Ester, Estefanie, Ana, and Elesao. I believe there are close to 30 of them. We will let you know as plans are put into place. Since many of our team are from ministering families, we know the toll it takes on the children and the expectations that can be hard to live up to. There is joy in serving with your family, and we'd love for these kids to experience it as well.
