First Acts as Missionaries

We spent the day with our team today. We started out the morning with worship and praise as a group. It was great to share how God is working and providing. We learned today that because we were not present in Guyana, they were able to take a man back to the hospital. You see, the plane they flew on had a weight limit and had we been there, this man couldn't have gotten the medical treatment that will hopefully allow him to walk again. It's amazing how God works.

This evening we went to one of the Wesleyan churches and Josh was able to be a part of the Children's service. They sang, gave testimony, shared memory verses, had snack, and then Grace (our missionary director's wife) got up to tell the story and Josh drew while she spoke. The kids really seemed to like his drawings and were attentive. It was different than any children's church you would see in the states, but it seemed to work. We were glad to be a part of it.

After church we went to a local "prasa." This is a place outdoors where you can go and eat. they set up tents and big grills. They're delicious. As you can see in this picture, Zoe enjoyed it immensely!

We hope to set up our home this week and be in there to have our first Christmas together. What a wonderful time to spend together as we serve our Savior!
